Your wedding photographs should feel like your day. Not stiff, not overdirected, and not full of moments that do not feel like you. The most meaningful wedding photography captures the atmosphere, the emotion, and the connection between you and the people you love most. That is the heart of what I offer at Annie Rees Photography: a calm, honest approach rooted in storytelling, with images that feel natural, personal, and full of life.

A calm approach to telling your story
Every wedding is different, and that is exactly how it should be. My approach is centred around real connection, natural emotion, and the moments that often matter most. I want you to feel relaxed, seen, and fully present, so the photography fits naturally around your day rather than taking it over. The aim is simple: to create images that hold both the atmosphere and the feeling of your wedding day.
For many couples, one of the biggest worries is whether they will feel awkward in front of the camera. That is why I work in a way that feels gentle and unobtrusive, offering guidance where needed while still leaving plenty of room for real moments to unfold. The laughter, the nerves, the confetti, the hugs, the tiny in between glances — those are often the moments that stay with you.
Before the wedding day
Good wedding photography starts long before the wedding itself. Every wedding includes a pre wedding consultation around 6 to 10 weeks before the day, giving us time to chat through your plans, timings, travel, and everything that matters most to you. This is where we talk about your timeline, key moments you would love photographed, family group photographs, important guests, and how you want the photography to feel overall.
This part of the process helps you feel prepared and clear on what to expect, so when the day arrives you can focus on enjoying it rather than worrying about logistics. It also means your photography can flow naturally around the shape of your day.

On the day: natural, relaxed, and true to you
When your wedding day arrives, my role is to document it with a calm and natural approach. I allow time for the parts of the day that matter, from confetti and family photographs to a relaxed couple session with gentle direction where needed. Nothing needs to feel forced. The goal is to keep things easy, unposed, and true to you throughout the day.
One of the best things you can do on your wedding day is let go of the idea of perfection. Smile, laugh, take it all in, and stay present with each other. The real, imperfect, emotional moments are often the ones that become the most meaningful in your gallery later.
Wedding photography packages
I offer three wedding photography packages, designed to suit different kinds of days and different levels of coverage. The Beech package includes 6 hours of coverage, an online gallery, and a USB stick. The Oak package includes 10 hours of coverage, an online gallery, and a USB stick. The Chestnut package includes 10 hours of coverage, an online gallery, an upgraded USB stick, and a wedding album. An additional photographer can also be added from £350, and a 20% deposit secures your date.
These options are there to give couples flexibility, whether you are planning a shorter celebration or want fuller coverage and an album to hold your memories in a lasting way.

After the wedding
After the day is over, the story continues in your gallery. Within a few days of your wedding, you will receive a small selection of sneak peek images to enjoy and share while your full gallery is being prepared. Your final gallery is delivered within 8 weeks in a private online gallery that is easy to view, share, and download. You receive both high resolution files for printing and web size files for easy online sharing, and a USB stick containing your final images is also posted out once everything is complete.
There are also optional extras available after the wedding, including fine art albums, framed prints, and wall art. These are designed to help you enjoy your photographs beyond the screen and preserve them in a lasting, meaningful way.

The beauty in the details
A wedding is never just about the timeline. It is also about the details — the dress, the flowers, the rings, the textures, the colours, and the small pieces you chose because they meant something to you. Those details are part of the story too. They are carefully chosen, beautifully personal, and worth remembering. Capturing them helps tell the fuller story of the day you created together.
