Jade and Kyle’s wedding at Raemoir House was one hell of a party, and I mean that in the best possible way.

This was one of those wedding days that had everything: beautiful bridal prep, a stunning country house setting, bubbles, confetti, sparklers, a drag act, brilliant speeches, loads of laughter and even time for a quick branding photo beside Kyle’s joinery van. It was personal, full of energy and completely their own.

Raemoir House was the perfect setting for it. The venue has that classic Aberdeenshire country house feel, with grand interiors, stonework, lawns, woodland and plenty of space for guests to properly relax into the day. It gave the gallery a lovely mix of romance, movement and full-on celebration.

The morning started with bridal prep at Raemoir, with Jade looking incredible. Her dress had the most beautiful detail, and the soft window light inside the house made the morning portraits feel romantic and almost editorial. There was a lovely contrast between the delicate lace, the veil, the tattoos and the classic interiors, very soft, but with personality.

For this wedding, I had Rhian Wood from Babes in the Wood Media working alongside me again, and Nial Gibbon from Wee Wedding Films capturing video. Having a strong team around the couple meant the day could be covered from different angles without losing that natural, documentary feel.

After the ceremony, Jade and Kyle came out into a proper confetti moment. The front of Raemoir gives such a strong backdrop for this, and the guests really went for it. There is nothing better than confetti everywhere, everyone cheering, and the couple walking through it laughing.

We also made time for photographs around the grounds. The Raemoir lawns and stone exterior worked beautifully for portraits, and Jade and Kyle were brilliant together, relaxed, funny and very much up for making the day their own. One of my favourite little moments was the quick photo beside the Kyle Sutherland Joinery van. It was daft, personal and exactly the sort of thing that makes a wedding gallery feel like the couple, not just a template.

The speeches brought some brilliant reactions, and then the evening took everything up another level. The drag act had everyone laughing, the atmosphere was wild, and the sparkler walk under the trees was such a good ending to the story. Raemoir’s woodland setting made those sparkler photographs feel especially atmospheric, warm light, dark trees, guests gathered around, and Jade and Kyle right in the middle of it all.

This wedding had the elegant country house setting, but it was not a quiet, polished, behave-yourself kind of day. It was joyful, loud, emotional, funny and full of character. Exactly how a wedding should be when a couple are surrounded by their people and fully enjoying themselves.

Jade and Kyle’s Raemoir House wedding was unforgettable, beautiful when it needed to be, hilarious when it wanted to be, and a proper party from start to finish.
